About The Position

Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Logistics Coordinator is responsible for shipment coordination within the USA, and occasionally internationally, via various partners. They are responsible for handling freight shipments for clients utilizing various modes of transport. This includes providing rate quotations, negotiating rates, and providing guidance and alternatives to our client experience team to ensure shipments move quickly and efficiently from origin to destination.

Requirements

2yrs of experience in logistics operation, freight quote sourcing, and customer service and/or in an office environment
Experience creating documentation for logistics and transportation
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Detail-orientation and great multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize
Able to analyze data, utilize problem-solving skills, and recommend solutions
At ease with technology and cloud base tools, as well as and strong knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software

Nice To Haves

A post-secondary degree, certificate, diploma or equivalent; concentration in transportation logistics, operations or similar as an asset but not required

Responsibilities

Work with the Logistics Lead to coordinate orders shipping and day-to-day tasks related to the logistics department
Liaise between the client experience team and transport suppliers on client files to resolve any shipping issues and/or inquiries
Work and follow up with carriers to determine estimated shipping times and dates and relay them to related parties
Ensure client experience team and logistics partners have a quick response time
Liaise between the Customer Experience team and transportation providers on customer cases to resolve any shipping, ordering, and/or inquiry issues and find the best solutions for clients
Be the in-house go-to person for the Logistics team regarding daily processes and procedures
Provide the Growth Specialist and Head of Logistics feedback for continuous improvement and contribute to increasing the efficiency and productivity of the transportation team (suggest process improvements, update SOPs, etc.)
Create all shipping documentation and support the organization with departmental information
Support satellite sites logistics teams (U.S) as needed
Assist on special projects, such as lead time and cost optimization analysis
