About The Position

Advanced Flow Systems is looking for an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Calgary, AB. The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the critical aspects of projects including the coordination of shipping and receiving of purchased materials and components. Maintaining a clean, organized operation. Early starts, late finishes, and weekend work may be required to keep production on track.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 2 years of computer experience
• Knowledge of shop procedures
• Quality management system knowledge - Purchasing, receiving, shipping, inspection and testing, traceability, nonconformances, corrective and preventive action, document control, record control, purchasing

Nice To Haves

• Post-secondary education in mechanical or engineering technology considered an asset
• Forklift certification considered an asset
• Material handling experience considered an asset

Responsibilities

• Receive purchased products and verify against purchase order requirements
• Receive customer-supplied products and verify against customer requirements
• Generate packing slips, calculate weights, determine dimensions
• Ensure shipments are packaged according to customer requirements
• Coordinate shipments with customers and carriers
• Maintain daily shipping log
• Maintain shipping supply inventory and inventory of shop supplies
• Review and issue purchase orders
• Work in accordance with the quality management system
• Complete all applicable quality records
• Maintain production flow
