About The Position

Giga Energy is seeking a hands-on Global Logistics Coordinator to support our international supply chain. You'll own the day-to-day execution that ensures materials, components and finished products move seamlessly across our global network. The position blends operational execution and strategic business decisions by managing ocean and trucking carriers, import and export coordination, terminal relationships, 3PLs, and customs brokers while ensuring compliance across the full process. You’ll partner closely with our manufacturing, sales, and project delivery teams to ensure our supply chain supports Giga’s rapid growth in the data center sector.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 2-4 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or freight operations, preferably within manufacturing, industrial, or electrical infrastructure industries.
  • Working knowledge of international freight, customs processes, and Incoterms.
  • Experience coordinating with carriers, 3PLs, freight forwarders, or customs brokers.
  • Export experience, including documentation and booking for international shipments.
  • Familiarity with oversized and breakbulk cargo, including the logistics of moving heavy or non-containerized freight.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities at once.
  • Proficient in Google Sheets and Excel, with comfort building trackers and managing data across multiple shipments.
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable in the day-to-day execution of a fast-moving logistics operation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in data center infrastructure, electrical equipment, or modular construction supply chains.
  • Exposure to transformer, switchgear, or power system logistics (heavy electrical equipment, long-lead materials).
  • Familiarity with ERP or TMS systems used for supply chain visibility and tracking.
  • Language skills in Spanish, Mandarin, or other languages supporting international manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage ocean bookings and shipping strategy in coordination with manufacturing and procurement teams.
  • Monitor incoming shipments and coordinate with terminals and truckers.
  • Track carrier contracts, rate changes, and surcharges (e.g., PSS, bunker) to ensure accurate cost application.
  • Coordinate inbound drayage and domestic trucking moves to Giga facilities for units, parts, and components.
  • Manage outbound domestic trucking of finished products (transformers, switchgear, enclosures) to customer sites and internal project locations.
  • Support miscellaneous and parcel shipments as needed to keep material flow on schedule.
  • Prepare and manage export documentation and bookings for international shipments.
  • Coordinate export logistics and communication with overseas manufacturing and partner sites.
  • Own the customs clearance process, including product classifications and verification.
  • Monitor duty spend, tariff rate changes, and work with CBP where applicable.
  • Review and validate drayage, trucking, ocean carrier, and customs broker invoices for accuracy.
  • Track landed cost and freight spend per order to support accurate reporting.
  • Partner with Sales to provide logistics cost and tariff inputs for the quoting process.
  • Support manufacturing and project delivery teams by keeping material flow aligned with production and deployment timelines.
