This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Belleville, MI. The role involves serving as the primary point of contact for existing customers with shipping needs, consulting with them to determine the most cost-effective and time-efficient shipping solutions. The coordinator will assess shipment requirements, coordinate transportation by leveraging an established carrier network, identifying available trucks, and utilizing a digital bidding platform. They will also conduct outbound calls to carriers for hard-to-cover shipments and award freight to the most competitive and appropriate carrier. The position requires tracking and tracing shipments, proactively managing exceptions, resolving issues during transit, and maintaining consistent communication with customers regarding shipment status and updates. Openings are available across two operational teams: Delivery Assurance and Air Charter, with two shifts available: Tuesday-Saturday, 3:30p-11:30p and Sunday-Thursday, 11:30p-7:30a.
