About The Position

Fareva is currently seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator Specialist to join our team in Richmond, VA. Fareva is a leading contract manufacturer of pharmaceutical and personal care products. The incumbent is responsible for all aspects of finished goods shipments. This includes all communication with customers concerning product releases, planning finished goods shipments to all customer locations, coordinating shipments with carriers and all notifications to customers about shipments. Will maintain contact and address information in SAP and develop documentation and communication protocols for new customers. A significant responsibility is addressing special requests from customers, responding to customer inquiries concerning product status and back flushing for tolled materials. Coordination of international shipments including coordinating with customs brokers and notification to airports and ocean ports. The incumbent is also responsible for inventory cycle counts and coordination with finance and auditors for inventory accuracy and demonstration of controls. Utilizing SAP transactions for finished goods shipping and other warehouse operations is a major component of this position. This incumbent is responsible for managing the incoming and outgoing flow of correspondence and packages, ensuring accurate inventory logging.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor product releases in SAP and communicate to customers to obtain their allocations to specific destinations.
  • Build optimum loads for shipments and contact carrier for mode of transportation required.
  • Generate pick lists by load for Fareva warehouse personnel.
  • Finalize shipments in SAP to trigger invoice process.
  • Communicate daily shipment information to other departments for various reports and metrics.
  • Execute daily cycle counts for all material types.
  • Host auditors for inventory inquiries.
  • Coordinate special requests for customers such as shipping products prior to release, ship to alternate locations or monitor plant activity to keep customer apprised of expected deliveries of promotional materials.
  • Maintain data about finished goods activity for management analysis.
  • Assist other individuals when workload warrants and fill in for others in shipping/receiving during absences.
  • Assist with Goods receipting and Goods issue process in SAP.
  • Recording the physical arrival of vendor goods, updating inventory quantity, valuation, and purchase order history.
  • Reducing inventory stock and records consumption for sales, production, or scrapping.
  • Updating material documents, GL accounts (inventory reduction), and requirements.
  • Retrieve, accept, and sort incoming mail, mail-related items, and packages by department, recipient, or category.
  • Prepare outgoing mail and packages by packing, sealing, labeling, and affixing proper postage.
