About The Position

The Logistics Coordinator/LTL Specialist coordinates Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) shipments while ensuring cost-effective and timely transportation solutions. This role involves working with carriers, providing exceptional customer service, and managing freight logistics efficiently.

Requirements

Experience in LTL logistics, freight brokerage, or transportation management.
Strong understanding of LTL pricing, freight classifications, and carrier networks.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in logistics software and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and data entry skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Nice To Haves

A degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience in LTL freight management or a similar role is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide prompt and professional support to customers regarding LTL shipments, resolving issues effectively.
Obtain competitive freight rates by comparing carrier pricing and service levels.
Establish and maintain strong working relationships with LTL carriers to optimize service and costs.
Plan, schedule, and dispatch shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
Monitor shipments, provide updates to customers, and address any transit issues proactively.
Process and track freight claims, ensuring proper documentation and resolution.
Maintain accurate shipment details, carrier information, and customer records in company systems.
Develop and nurture relationships with existing customers to foster repeat business.
Conduct outbound calls to generate new business opportunities and expand customer base.
Support additional logistics functions as needed to ensure operational efficiency.
