About The Position

The Logistics Coordinator - Brokerage interacts with driver customers, consignees, and internal stakeholders to provide information, respond to inquiries, dispatch shipments daily, troubleshoot problems, provide shipment status updates to team members and customers, and handle and resolve complaints.

Requirements

One (1) year of experience.
Knowledge and ability in English and grammar.
Pleasant telephone voice/manner.
Ability to operate simple office equipment sufficiently to perform the job.
Ability to compose correspondence.
Ability to think on your feet.
Knowledge of excellent customer service.
High school education mandatory.

Nice To Haves

College degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Outbound phone calls to schedule freight shipments with drivers and dispatchers.
Take inbound calls for driver check-in and update systems with tracking information.
Trace shipments by making outbound calls and querying carriers’ websites to determine shipment statuses.
Handle initial information on loss/damage and shortage claims on shipments.
Explain tasks and assist in the solutions of problems.
Search company records using the company TMS system and provide necessary information and/or reports to customers and team members.
Trace shipment status to provide information back to shipper representatives.
Resolve customer questions related to shipments in transit.
Respond to requests via telephone or email, using a personal computer when necessary.
Maintain liaison with carrier representatives for order completion.
Ensure compliance to company processes and policies.
Provide input on service performance issues.
Complete various administrative functions as required.
Assist in managing and maintaining customer and carrier relationships.
Perform other allied duties as assigned by leadership.
