Coordinates Logistics operations within assigned area of responsibility (AOR). Provides support in tracking supplies and materials, and coordination of transportation functions, maintenance, and client services at the project level. Coordinates material requisitions, order information, status and updates to functional and site management as required. Ensures records of Customer Orders, backorders, consignment inventory, import shipments and delivery details are maintained according to contractual obligations. Minimizes exposure to demurrage and detention of goods. May provide guidance to less experienced personnel as assigned. Evaluates processes and procedures; develops and implements improvements to maximize efficiency and value to the customer. May be required to manage specialized Class VIII medical supplies and equipment. Medical Logistics duties may include, but are not limited to, coordinating medical logistics operations with healthcare providers and administrators, tracking medical supplies and materials, and coordination with medical supply source(s) and transportation functions, ensuring records of Customer Orders, backorders, consignment inventory, import shipments and delivery details are maintained according to contractual obligations, and maintaining medical inventory and insures that minimum stockage levels are maintained. May perform coordination of calibrating equipment. Performs duties in accordance with TB MED 530 and Title 29, Code of Federal Regulation Part 1910.1200, AR 40-3, AR 40-4, AR 40-60, AR 40-61, Supply Bulletin 8-75-11, and AR 750-1. Other duties as assigned.
