About The Position

The Logistics Assistant II will be responsible for assisting in the logistics process to meet all necessary requirements including government contracts related paperwork, expediting, and coordinating shipments based on customer’s needs. In this role, the Logistics Assistant II will closely collaborate with internal departments of Supply Chain and Operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration or related field is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management within regulated environment (aerospace, defense)
  • Knowledge of relevant compliance requirements.
  • Experience working with government contracts or defense-related programs preferred.
  • Proven experience in prioritizing and managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in logistics and supply chain software systems (Oracle)
  • U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required.
  • This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). In order to comply with the requirements of the ITAR and/or the EAR, applicants must qualify as a U.S. person under the ITAR and the EAR, or a person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of shipments and on-time-delivery to customers, prioritizing request to meet critical deadlines and program timelines.
  • Ensure that all hazmat shipments are properly identified, packaged and documented.
  • Process shipments in MRP and identify any clear any issues that may impact shipment confirmation.
  • Effectively manage and prioritize logistics tasks per customer needs in a complex and dynamic environment, supporting the needs of multiple programs.
  • Process incoming RMAs in MRP system and see the process through completion.
  • Responsible for AES filing and export documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned
