About The Position

Five Rivers Analytics is seeking a Logistics and Warehouse Support Subject Matter Expert (SME) with tower climbing capabilities to support the United States Border Patrol (USBP) in Tucson, AZ. The USBP, part of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), requires expert support for logistics, asset management, property management, and warehouse operations. This role is crucial for the successful execution of the Southwest Field Office's (SWFO) responsibilities. The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining the necessary technical, supervisory, and administrative personnel according to the delivery schedule. The position involves providing comprehensive logistics and warehouse support services, including warehouse logistics operations, property management, asset management, deployment and sustainment, solutions engineering support, and tower climbing. The scope of these services will adapt to project complexity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working as a tower climber/tower worker performing tower maintenance and equipment installation on towers.
  • Experience working as a tower climber/tower worker with at least 5 climbs of towers greater than 200 ft. in height.
  • Able to climb towers and structures up to 400 feet high.
  • Certified - or able to be certified - in accordance with OSHA Regulations and ANSI/TIA Standards.
  • Holds a Comtrain Competent Climber/Rescuer certification or equivalent certification.
  • Must meet OSHA Regulations and ANSI/TIA Standards.
  • Ability to climb ladders and steep staircases.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Must be able to pass a DHS Customs and Border Protections Background Investigation.
  • Must be available to travel for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Perform tower climbing inspections in accordance with the Tower Industry Association (TIA) 222-G standards.
  • Be well versed in video surveillance tower installations to validate work performed on towers by outside vendors at height.
  • Manage warehouse logistics operations, including receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and equipment.
  • Oversee shipment coordination, monitor inventory levels, and adhere to safety regulations.
  • Set up and tear down designated events, ensuring all logistical and operational requirements are met.
  • Perform minor facility enhancements and improvements to the Technology Support Warehouse.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure the proper completion of facility work orders.
  • Assist with inventorying incoming and outgoing program-specific equipment and equipment designated for disposition.
  • Ensure completion of monthly Health and Safety Inspection Sheets and update the UTOC Health and Safety Teams page.
  • Oversee daily fleet operations, including fuel and maintenance invoice processing in SAP, maintaining fleet folders, ensuring vehicle readiness, preparing vehicles for dispositioning, identifying equipment needs, coordinating fleet usage and repairs, and transporting government vehicles.
  • Manage all fleet-related administrative tasks, including review and processing of fuel and maintenance service invoices through SAP.
  • Transport government-owned vehicles upon arrival of new program assets and new fleet, and transport deployment vehicles to designated outlying areas.
  • Assume and execute responsibilities of a Local Property Officer (LPO) within the SAP system, ensuring compliance with property management regulations and policies.
  • Provide guidance and technical support to personnel regarding property management.
  • Monitor property-related activities and implement procedures to uphold the integrity and efficiency of the property management process.
  • Provide asset management support services, including accountability across all phases of the asset lifecycle.
  • Oversee the receipt of package deliveries and perform detailed inspections to confirm completeness of delivered items.
  • Oversee and manage deployment and sustainment activities, ensuring tasks are carried out in accordance with established requirements, industry standards, and programmatic objectives.
  • Perform escort duties.
  • Provide cargo security.
  • Assist with inventory and disposition.
  • Provide forklift support.
  • Provide vehicle transportation.
  • Be available to work occasional weekends as needed to fulfill mission requirements.
