About The Position

The TerraPower Isotopes® (TPI™) division has been established to pursue medical isotopes development--advancing nuclear science for significant human health benefits. We seek to support revolutionary radiotherapies for treatments of various cancers through the supply of radioisotopes. TerraPower currently has unique access to a supply of thorium for the long-term production of actinium-225 in the growing alpha therapy market and intends to expand into other nuclear related medical treatments. The TPI Logistics and Procurement Specialist reports to the TPI Logistics Manager and is an experienced, hands-on member of the team responsible for procurement, receiving, warehousing, inventory control, material movement, and shipment of materials and products supporting TPI operations. The Specialist will help establish and maintain the logistics processes, systems, and controls required to support the transition from project development to routine radiopharmaceutical production. This position requires an individual equally comfortable performing hands-on warehouse and material-handling activities and completing the detailed administrative, documentation, and system work required in a regulated manufacturing environment. Working in a startup environment, the Specialist must be adaptable, able to work across functional boundaries, and willing to support evolving operational needs. The TPI Logistics team will work in close coordination with personnel at the TerraPower Everett Laboratory who perform similar logistics functions for other projects across the facility.

Requirements

  • Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience in warehouse operations, logistics, materials management, procurement, or a related function, preferably within radiopharmaceutical, nuclear, aerospace, or another regulated industry operating under a quality assurance program.
  • Demonstrated experience with receiving, warehousing, inventory control, material movement, shipping, and associated documentation and recordkeeping.
  • Working knowledge of inventory control practices including material quarantine and release, FIFO/FEFO, shelf-life/SLED tracking, inventory reconciliation, and material disposition.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills, including experience maintaining auditable records and developing or working with controlled procedures and processes.
  • Working knowledge of ERP, inventory management, LIMS, or comparable computerized material-management systems, with strong general computer and data-entry skills.
  • Ability and willingness to perform hands-on warehouse activities, including use of pallet jacks, forklifts or similar material-handling equipment, and basic powered and unpowered hand tools.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills with the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and adapt to changing needs in a startup environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or off-hours as operational requirements dictate, and maintain a current driver's license.
  • The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly, display respect, and demonstrate a strong commitment to teamwork.

Nice To Haves

  • Radioactive or hazardous-material shipping experience and military logistics, supply, maintenance-material control, nuclear operations, or comparable regulated operational experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining accurate, auditable inventory records within the TPI Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and related systems supporting radiopharmaceutical production following approved procedures.
  • Execute receiving, inspection, storage, inventory, replenishment, and material-status activities for laboratory chemicals, equipment, and consumable supplies, including quarantine/release, FIFO/FEFO, shelf-life/SLED tracking, reconciliation, and material disposition.
  • Receive, unpack, move, organize, and stage project materials using pallet jacks, forklifts, mobile elevated work platforms, and basic powered and unpowered hand tools while maintaining safe, clean, and orderly work areas.
  • Prepare materials and products for shipment, including required packaging, labeling, documentation, and shipping records.
  • Obtain and maintain required qualifications for the preparation and shipment of radioactive materials and ensure shipments comply with applicable regulatory and company requirements.
  • Coordinate time-sensitive shipments of radiopharmaceutical materials and products with Operations, customers, carriers, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate procurement activities and serve as a primary point of contact for TPI Operations and Technology procurement requests.
  • Assists in the development, documentation, and improvement practical logistics, inventory, procurement, and shipping processes as TPI transitions from project development through commissioning and routine production and escalates complex issues.
  • Supports development and maintenance of procedures, work instructions, records, and other controls necessary for reliable and auditable logistics operations under applicable quality requirements.
