About The Position

The Logistics and Transportation Services Supervisor oversees comprehensive fleet and transportation operations, ensuring smooth management of GPS tracking, billing coordination, data reporting, and vehicle leasing. This role includes handling titles, licenses, DMV activities, maintenance tracking, and gas card administration, while maintaining accurate records for vehicle inspections and monthly mileage. Additionally, the supervisor will investigate accidents, establish partnerships with service garages, and coordinate loaner vehicles as needed. Strong organization and computer skills are essential for success in this position, with an emphasis on efficient, safe, and compliant transportation services.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in fleet management, logistics, or a similar role.
  • An Associate's degree in Business Administration, Transportation Management, Logistics, or a related field is required.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage complex records and coordinate multiple processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with vendors, team members, and drivers.
  • Ability to quickly assess issues and make well-informed decisions to ensure continuity of services.
  • Must be able to lift 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain detailed records for each vehicle, including mileage logs, maintenance schedules, inspection reports, and fuel usage.
  • Track and report on monthly mileage for each vehicle, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Oversee GPS tracking software to monitor fleet locations, optimize routes, and ensure efficient vehicle use.
  • Manage vehicle leases, titles, licenses, and registration activities, ensuring compliance with all DMV requirements.
  • Ensure all vehicles are compliant with legal and regulatory requirements regarding registration and licensing.
  • Conduct regular vehicle inspections and track maintenance activities to ensure fleet safety and reliability.
  • Coordinate loaner vehicles when necessary to minimize service interruptions during repairs.
  • Manage gas cards for all fleet vehicles, tracking fuel expenses and monitoring for any unusual usage.
  • Investigate and document any vehicle accidents, coordinating with insurance providers, legal teams, and drivers as necessary.
  • Provide guidance, support, and oversight to the Transportation Team Leader (and drivers), ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance standards.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and provide regular feedback for the Transportation Team Leader.
  • Review and approve scheduling, routing, and dispatching managed by the Transportation Team Leader, ensuring efficient and effective transportation services.
  • Work closely with the Transportation Team Leader to establish training programs for all transportation staff, emphasizing safety, compliance, and customer service.
  • Ensure that the Transportation Team Leader and drivers follow all organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols.
  • Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the transportation team, working with the Transportation Team Leader to achieve high standards of service quality.
  • Conduct regular audits with the Transportation Team Leader to identify areas for improvement in routing, dispatching, and overall.
