About The Position

Leidos is seeking a Logistics and Inventory Operations Manager to join their Digital Sector. This role will lead AFNCR logistics and warehouse operations supporting IT asset movement, storage, distribution, field delivery, equipment return, staging, shipping, receiving, and lifecycle execution. The manager will oversee the enterprise IT Asset Management program, including Hardware Asset Management, Software Asset Management, Technology Refresh, lifecycle management, field operations, warehouse accountability, and service delivery coordination. The position involves managing warehouse operations for a variety of IT assets and maintaining accountability for over 100,000 configuration items. The role requires ensuring compliance with contract requirements, maintaining organized and secure warehouse spaces, developing safety and handling procedures, and accurately tracking IT assets throughout their lifecycle. The manager will lead inventory activities, synchronize contractor-managed IT asset records with government property accountability systems, and manage software asset management operations. This role serves as a primary liaison with government officials and senior leaders, requiring the development of strategic communications and executive-level briefs. Performance tracking and reporting against contractual metrics are also key responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Project Management, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in IT operations, logistics, warehouse management, inventory management, IT asset management, field operations, supply chain operations, service delivery, or enterprise technology lifecycle management.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience leading teams in an IT operations, logistics, warehouse, ITAM, field services, service delivery, or federal contract environment.
  • Experience working with ITSM platforms, CMDBs, ticketing systems, inventory systems, asset tracking tools, warehouse management tools, or government property accountability systems.
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL-aligned service delivery practices, request fulfillment, ITSM workflows, operational reporting, asset accountability, and customer support processes.
  • Experience developing SOPs, Work Instructions, Knowledge Base Articles, training materials, service catalog documentation, warehouse procedures, logistics workflows, and enterprise communications.
  • Strong project management skills with experience leading complex operational initiatives involving multiple teams, sites, schedules, stakeholders, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Experience producing executive-level reports, operational briefs, project status updates, performance metrics, deliverable packages, strategic communications, and corrective action plans.
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, customer service, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-visibility, compliance-driven environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance or higher is required.

  • ITIL certification, Project Management Professional certification, Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional, Certified Software Asset Manager, Certified IT Asset Manager, Lean Six Sigma, supply chain certification, logistics certification, or related credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead AFNCR logistics and warehouse operations supporting IT asset movement, storage, distribution, field delivery, equipment return, staging, shipping, receiving, and lifecycle execution.
  • Manage the enterprise IT Asset Management program across Hardware Asset Management, Software Asset Management, Technology Refresh, lifecycle management, field operations, warehouse accountability, and service delivery coordination.
  • Oversee warehouse operations involving laptops, desktops, monitors, mobile devices, peripherals, network equipment, software media, accessories, spare stock, refresh stock, and other accountable IT assets.
  • Maintain accountability and operational control of more than 100,000 accountable configuration items across the enterprise IT environment.
  • Manage warehouse receiving, inventory control, binning, storage, stock level monitoring, staging, kitting, packing, shipping, loading, delivery preparation, customer pickup, return processing, and disposition support.
  • Ensure warehouse stock levels, logistical inventories, delivery readiness, storage practices, and equipment controls are maintained in accordance with contract requirements and operational needs.
  • Ensure warehouse spaces, cages, loading docks, staging areas, storage locations, receiving zones, and outbound areas remain organized, secure, audit-ready, and operationally efficient.
  • Develop and enforce warehouse safety, asset handling, material movement, equipment control, chain-of-custody, documentation, and customer handoff procedures.
  • Ensure IT assets are accurately tracked, documented, reconciled, refreshed, transferred, stored, deployed, recovered, disposed, and maintained in the approved Configuration Management Database.
  • Lead annual and recurring inventory activities to verify asset accountability across more than 235 operational units, warehouse stock locations, customer sites, field environments, classified offices, and geographically separated units.
  • Manage synchronization between contractor-managed IT asset records and government property accountability systems, including BMC Helix, DPAS, CMDB, ITSM platforms, inventory databases, and other approved tools.
  • Lead Software Asset Management operations to support software license accountability, software inventory development, software compliance, cybersecurity authorization posture, above-baseline software visibility, and baseline software requirement analysis.
  • Serve as a primary operational liaison with government senior officials, Equipment Control Officers, program leadership, customer managers, site representatives, project stakeholders, technical teams, and service delivery leaders.
  • Engage senior leaders on logistics execution, warehouse readiness, inventory accountability, lifecycle planning, technology refresh progress, software compliance, service fulfillment, project risks, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and execute strategic communications and executive level brief for inventory operations, warehouse support, logistics initiatives, annual inventories, software asset management, technology refresh, compliance upgrades, customer deployments, and field execution activities.
  • Track and report performance against contractual metrics, task order requirements, refresh targets, inventory completion goals, warehouse stock audits, delivery performance, service delivery expectations, and compliance requirements.
