About The Position

The Logistics Analyst plays a crucial role in optimizing the supply chain and logistics processes within an organization. This position involves working along side our freight payment company, analyzing data related to transportation, warehousing, and inventory management to identify areas for improvement. The Logistics Analyst develops and implements strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery of goods. This is a hybrid position that will sit in our Charlotte, NC office.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field with at least 2 years' experience or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL).
  • Experience with Freight payment management and systems.
  • In-depth understanding of transportation management principles and practices.
  • Experience with SAP
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze data related to logistics processes and procedures

  • Regularly report on data findings to relevant stakeholders
  • Monitor inventory levels and track shipments of goods

  • Negotiate contracts and rates with logistics providers

  • Identify areas for process improvement within the logistics department
  • Implement new procedures and systems to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Regularly review and update logistics processes to ensure effectiveness
  • Plan and execute logistics projects, such as warehouse reorganization or transportation route optimization
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
  • Monitor project timelines and budgets to ensure on-time and within budget completion
  • Identify potential risks in logistics operations and develop mitigation strategies
