A Logistics Analyst is responsible for the coordination and oversight of drivers, trucks, and containers to create capacity, maximize productivity and ensure prompt, courteous and efficient service to all customers. Additional responsibilities include the oversight of safety, customer experience, and productivity. The role involves analyzing daily route information, implementing changes for efficiency, and responding to same-day or next-day planning needs. The analyst will also manage driver safety, analyze logistics data, communicate with drivers, and evaluate driver performance. Understanding route sequencing, responding to missed pickups, and creating routes with maximized capacity are key. The analyst will monitor daily routing activities, resolve issues, assess the need for swing routes, and determine if service requests can be pulled forward to drive efficiency and enhance customer experience. The position also requires performing other job-related duties as assigned. Customer interaction is expected, and route design is crucial for preventing service issues and ensuring compliance with hours of service and weight regulations. The analyst must ensure customer promises are kept, update call center communications daily, and reduce missed pickups. Evaluating route issues that cause delays and communicating with impacted customers is also part of the role, along with reviewing routing media for service exceptions and general messages to meet customer needs and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
