About The Position

A Logistics Analyst works in a collaborative, mission-focused environment directly supporting Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) under the Command and Control Mission Support (C2MS) program. This role is a critical member of the Logistics team, responsible for maintaining the C2MS Warehouse, IT accountability accounts, and the shipping, receiving, and disposition of government-owned assets that support global Command and Control Mission Systems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1+ month logistics experience
  • Experience with shipping, receiving, and warehousing operations
  • Working knowledge of government logistics documentation, including DD Form 1149, DD Form 1348 series, and DLA Form 2500
  • Active Secret security clearance to start
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50lbs on a regular basis
  • Familiarity with DLA Disposition Services (DRMO) processes
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with IT asset tracking systems
  • Experience with property accountability systems such as ELMS (formerly DPAS), GCSS, or similar DoD systems
  • Prior DoD, military, or government contracting logistics experience
  • Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)

Responsibilities

  • Track, manage, and reconcile government-owned assets throughout their full lifecycle.
  • Manage an IT accountability account consisting of approximately 600 assets.
  • Prepare, process, and maintain logistics and property documentation, including: DD Form 1149 – Requisition and Invoice/Shipping Document, DD Form 1348 series – DoD Single Line-Item Requisition System Document, AF Form 1297 – Temporary Issue Receipt / Hand Receipt, DLA Form 2500 – Certification of Information Technology Disposition.
  • Coordinate shipping, receiving, and warehousing activities to ensure accurate and timely movement of material.
  • Maintain property accountability records in compliance with DoD, Air Force, and contractual requirements.
  • Support DLA Disposition Services (DRMO) processes, including asset turn-ins, certifications, and required documentation.
  • Conduct inventory audits, reconciliations, and discrepancy resolutions.
  • Use Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) to track assets, generate reports, and maintain required documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and government stakeholders to ensure logistics and accountability requirements are met.
  • Safely operate in a warehouse environment and assist with material handling as needed.
  • This role is hands-on logistics and property accountability, not a desk-only IT role.
  • Ideal candidates may come from military logistics, supply, property book, or IT asset management backgrounds.
