About The Position

This role provides leadership and expertise in the warehousing and fulfillment processes used at STIHL Inc. facilities. The Logistics Analyst will act as a change agent for continuous improvement and standardization, supporting initiatives that drive safety, service, accuracy, and efficiency improvements. The position involves managing complex projects from analysis and planning through implementation, with a strong focus on optimizing supply chain and warehouse operations in an international environment. Responsibilities include developing and evaluating logistics concepts, supporting ERP system implementations, and identifying opportunities to improve warehouse processes and standards.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, Business Administration (analytical focus), or a related field, plus 5+ years of relevant professional experience OR 10+ years of relevant professional experience in logistics, supply chain, operations, analytics, continuous improvement, or related disciplines.
  • Experience with SAP or other warehouse management ERP systems.
  • 10% travel to STIHL Inc. branches.

Responsibilities

  • Manages challenging projects ranging from analysis, planning and implementation in an international sales and logistics environment, as well as optimizing the supply chain within the STIHL Group.
  • Develops and evaluates logistics concepts for new products / suppliers.
  • Responsible for logistical requirements associated with implementing and optimizing ERP system(s).
  • Develops further implementation of STIHL warehouse logistics standards for the optimization of existing and planned warehouses.
  • Develops logistics key figures, tools and instruments as well as supports metrics collection for the Logistics Balanced Scorecard, including group-wide logistic cost and performance recording.
  • Participates in the review and, if necessary, application of new logistics technologies at the STIHL warehouse locations.
  • Participates in the capital investment process for the warehouse locations.
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
