The procurement analyst’s duties are to research and compare products and services from suppliers in order to decide what will be most compatible for the company using the Teledyne Smart Source System (IVALUA). This position will also provide troubleshooting and rectification of Dolphin record issues along with 3rd Party Classification of material sourced for 3rd party vendors. Having a working technical knowledge of the goods or services being purchased is extremely important for procurement analysts. Being informed about the correct price, quality, availability, and reliability of a product allows analysts to ensure the best purchasing plan possible for their company.

Requirements

MUST BE US CITIZEN OR PERM RESIDENT
BS/BA in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics or equivalent experience
Applied knowledge of forecasting, MRP, transportation, supply chain, inventory management and warehousing disciplines
Proficient with MS Office suite – advanced skills with MS Excel
Strong sense of urgency & attention to detail
Excellent organization, communication, and follow-up skills
Able to influence others & manage conflict
Ability to self-direct and take constructive action in ambiguous situations
Extremely high standards of excellence
Analytical with a methodical approach to problem solving

Responsibilities

Research and compare products and services from suppliers to determine compatibility for the company using the Teledyne Smart Source System (IVALUA).
Provide troubleshooting and rectification of Dolphin record issues.
Perform 3rd Party Classification of material sourced for 3rd party vendors.
Communicate frequently with suppliers, senior buyers, and buyer/planners.
Visit distribution centers and manufacturing sites to learn about their products, services, and prices.
Prepare reports on suppliers and submit them to the sourcing team and management for review.
Negotiate contract terms after offering bids to desired suppliers using the Teledyne Smart Source System.
Travel may be required to network with new suppliers.
Troubleshoot company accounts payable issues affecting suppliers, including PO Amendment, missing or wrong Goods Receipts, Invoice mistakes and duplications.
Perform Jurisdiction & Classification (Level 1, Trade Compliance) for materials sourced from 3rd parties which may be shipped to external customers.
