About The Position

This role involves overseeing inventory tracking and database management in DPAS, COLTS, and ILS, ensuring compliance with DoD policy. The specialist will execute cycle counts, inventory sweeps, and adjustments to maintain database integrity. Responsibilities include processing and submitting financial reports on shipping, coordinating logistics support activities with stakeholders like the Fleet Logistics Center (FLC), and ensuring compliance with various DoD and NAVSPECWARCOM instructions for material accountability and property management. The role also requires maintaining audit readiness by adhering to Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) policies, archiving material records, and providing logistics inputs for inspections and assessments. Additionally, the specialist will develop and implement database policies for inventory management, analyze supply chain data to identify improvements, develop logistics solutions for operational optimization and sustainability, and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.

Requirements

  • Five (5) years of Navy logistics experience to include: financial analysis of Major Force Program Two (MFP-2) and Major Force Program Eleven (MFP-11) funding sources, allowancing and configuration management.
  • Three (3) years of experience supporting the Special Operations Forces (SOF) community.
  • Technical experience with Navy Logistics Information Systems (LIS).
  • Five (5) years of experience with Navy or Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).

Responsibilities

  • Oversee inventory tracking and database management in DPAS, COLTS, and ILS ensuring compliance with DoD policy.
  • Execute cycle counts, inventory sweeps, and adjustments as needed to maintain database integrity.
  • Process and submit required financial reports on shipping to the NSWG-8 N-4 Logistics Support (LS) for submission.
  • Coordinate logistics support activities, including material handling, shipment, and receipt of items, with the Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) for shipping and receiving actions and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD, NAVFAC, and COMNAVSPECWARCOM instructions for material accountability and property management.
  • Maintain audit readiness by adhering to Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) policies and archiving material records.
  • Provide logistics inputs to support Logistics Management Inspections (LMI) and Logistics Management Assessments (LMA) for NSWG-8 N4.
  • Ensure compliance with United States Special Operations Command (SOCOM), DoD Instructions and other regulations governing property accountability and material management.
  • Support audit readiness efforts by maintaining accurate records IAW FIAR policies.
  • Develop and implement database policies for inventory management, tracking, and reporting.
  • Analyze supply chain and inventory management data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement logistics solutions and best practice to optimize operations and enhance sustainability.
  • Provide actionable recommendations to NSWG-8 N-4 leadership based on logistics data and operational insights.
