About The Position

This role is located in Yorktown, VA. The salary is $90k - $100k. Responsibilities include analyzing and performing maintenance, testing, and inspection on weapon systems, components, and related support equipment. This involves performing weapon/ordnance system and component maintenance, including inspection, cleaning, repair and replace, testing, and ensuring Ready for Issue (RFI) status. The role also includes conducting recertification and reconstitution for Naval weapons special projects, performing Intermediate-Level maintenance (including replacement of USG-furnished wing slot seals, fairings, and other weapons piece parts on live missiles), and Depot-Level maintenance using government-provided technical manuals and Standard Operating Procedures. Additional duties involve visual inspections, testing weapons, weapons systems, components, and containers, and providing physical inventory management for conventional weapons parts inventory movement, maintenance tools, support equipment (SE), and test equipment (TE). The logistician will identify, track, verify, label, ship, receive, deliver, and manage parts/components inventory. Qualifications include being qualified and licensed to perform rigging, forklift operations, crane services, and other services required for equipment installation, removal, and relocation, as well as personnel transport. The role requires utilizing serviceable common and peculiar USG-furnished materials handling equipment (MHE), ordnance handling equipment (OHE), support equipment, test equipment, and common hand tools for Intermediate and Depot-Level maintenance. Technical data retrieval from USG-owned databases is also a responsibility. The company, Synectic Solutions, Inc. Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship and Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Business Administration
  • Experience with USN Missile Organizational & Intermediate level maintenance/testing.
  • Three years in defense life cycle acquisition, operational logistics, testing or maintenance.
  • Formal USN missile maintenance or electronics training from technical School, or Class A or C military school in electronics.
  • Recent and relevant experience in conducting software uploading and testing, removing and replacing hardware and/or equipment and reviewing design and drawing documents of USN Navy missiles.

Nice To Haves

  • An additional one (1) year of experience working in direct support of Defense Life Cycle Logistics can be substituted for a BS or BA degree.
  • Experience performing maintenance on Navy missiles and components.
