About The Position
We are looking for candidates with technical expertise to join our team as a 2nd Shift Logistical Coordinator/Feed Mill Technician at Athens, Alabama, Feed Mill. This Position will be responsible for Ingredient requisition, operation of processing equipment, and coordination of feed dispatch.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of business English and Arithmetic
- Computer Experience is necessary, fluid in Microsoft Excel.
- Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees
- Ability to perform task with accuracy and efficiency
- Ability to maintain records, and to generate reports which require extreme accuracy
- Ability to multi task in high stress environment
Responsibilities
- Reviews feeds, orders, and inputs data into spreadsheets
- Schedules, Records, and Files reclaim feed request
- Operates scale house and receives BOL for all ingredients
- Coordinates/pairs loads and Dispatches drivers to farms
- Delegate workload to drivers, while trying to evenly balance driving hours
- Reviews feed mill bins and farm bins to ensure a fluid unloading process
- Inputs ingredients, vendors, and customers in the Control program
- Operate equipment, including receiving, batching, grinding, pelleting, and loadout.
- Complete FDA reports
- Maintaining Bio-Security Protocol at all times, along with routine sanitation
- Obtain week-ending inventories
- Engage in weekly Plant fumigation
- Operates equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, sweepers
- May perform other duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor
