About The Position

The Logistic Technician is responsible for managing the transportation of all external materials, ensuring a continuous and efficient flow. This role also focuses on reducing and optimizing internal transportation costs, as well as managing import/export processes with customs and brokers.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in a similar position.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Nice To Haves

• Additional training in BPCS.
• Experience with flows management.
• Experience with transportation management.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and reduce internal costs related to transportation, customs, and brokers.
• Manage the import/export process of materials in accordance with local requirements and legislation.
• Organize normal and urgent transports for both suppliers and clients.
• Define the transportation plan, including milk runs and pick-ups.
• Identify areas for improvement within the logistics function and participate in continuous improvement activities following the FMS lean model and strategic guidelines.
• Lead A3 problem-solving sessions for Transportation Costs and manage the improvement team.
• Adhere to Ficosa’s Code of Ethics to prevent fraudulent practices.
• Comply with the Information Security Management System (ISMS) applicable to the job and complete related training.
• Actively cooperate in maintaining, promoting, and improving the OHSE and Quality departments.
