About The Position

This is a 1-year contract position for a Logistic Operator. The role is fully on-site with a pay rate of approximately $28/hr, depending on experience. The position requires a strong customer orientation and excellent negotiating skills, with a focus on import operations, global logistics, and Customs Compliance. The Logistic Operator will coordinate ocean, air, and trucking freight with carriers and 3rd party logistics providers, and manage/support fulfillment & distribution activities. Responsibilities also include maintaining SOPs/Work Instructions, ensuring operational best practices and compliance with customer requirements, and building relationships with carriers, vendors, and internal teams. The role involves analyzing operational data and KPIs to identify trends and support continuous process improvements, as well as evaluating logistics processes for efficiency and business growth.

Requirements

• Strong customer orientation and strong negotiating skills
• Strong background in import operations, global logistics, and Customs Compliance
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Great interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate openly and effectively
• Works well under pressure and has a sense of urgency
• Strong work ethic
• Outlook, Microsoft Office application such as Excel/Power point/Word
• Ability to travel up to 10 %

Nice To Haves

• 1+ years of work experience in freight forwarding or logistics industry (Ocean import) is preferred
• Candidate with strong analytical skills and the ability to learn logistics operations quickly are encouraged
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate ocean, air and trucking freight with carriers, 3rd party logistics providers
• Manage and support fulfillment & distribution activities
• SOP/Work Instructions maintenance and ensuring operational best practice in line with customer requirements as well as ensure operational SOP compliance
• Builds relationships with carriers, vendors, & internal team members, and helps resolve any freight problems that may arise
• Analyze operational data and KPIs to identify trends and support continuous process improvements
• Constantly evaluates logistics processes to improve operational efficiency and support long-term business growth
