About The Position

The logistic supervisor will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and managing delivery routes and driver team for distribution center.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • 3 years of recent/prior fleet/driver supervisory/management experience
  • Previous experience with routing and driver dispatching
  • Effective communication, including writing, speaking and interpersonal communication
  • Quick critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Keep organization and time management skills
  • Good collaboration and teamwork abilities
  • Great leadership and goal-setting skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Route planning and analysis
  • Ability to use computers, software and other technology for inventory and communication purposes
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to exercise good judgement and work independently
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to assist and train drivers with loading of deliveries
  • Must be able to frequently lift, carry, and place merchandise and supplies up to 50 pounds without assistance
  • Frequent standing and walking for long periods of time
  • Frequent reaching overhead and below the knees, including squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting
  • Climb up and down ladders to retrieve and stock merchandise
  • Communicate effectively in person, by telephone, or by using telecommunications equipment
  • Enter and locate information on computer
  • Visually verify information, often in small print
  • Safely operate a motor vehicle

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree preferred
  • Prior driving experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Daily dispatch of deliveries and fleet for assigned location within a direct store delivery network.
  • Assigning and supervising driver personnel with a focus on safety/regulatory compliance and controlling and maintaining delivery efficiency goals while meeting or exceeding customer service level expectations.
  • Ensure Delivery Driver SOPs are adhered to.
  • Daily reconciliation of routes and driver performance through GEOTAB.
  • Other duties as assigned.
