Working with Moog offers deeper job satisfaction, better rewards, and a great quality of life. The Military Aircraft Group team in Torrance, CA is seeking a Dispatcher / Logistic Technician. This onsite role reports to the Inventory Control & Shipping Supervisor and requires a high degree of accuracy, maintaining traceability when verifying Nonconforming material and purchase orders, and the ability to interpret operation sheets.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Dispatch or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years or more of warehouse/manufacturing experience
  • Computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Responsibilities

  • Pull and put away material to respective staging locations
  • Perform inventory reconciliation(2-Bins)
  • Manage transactions for Nonconforming material physically and systematically
  • Prepare paperwork and send out items needed for outside processing
  • Complete Cycle Counts, Shelf-Life Management for paint
  • Expedite outside machining and processing through vendors as required to meet production schedules
  • Schedule courier (Jet) pickups and deliveries for incoming and outgoing OSP
  • Process Material movement physically and systematically
  • Create/prepare work order splits when partial lots are received
  • Monitor assigned queues; clear any aging WO
  • Receive and process inbound and outbound material
  • Investigate and resolve aging WIP and any other projects
  • Ensure transaction compliance
  • Direct the activities of the production truck driver in the movement of parts and all other activities
  • Assist in any dispatch task as needed
  • Support the timely meeting of production schedules by moving, coordinating, expediting and processing jobs throughout the floor
  • Package and verify parts assuring correct paperwork is sent and received
  • Provide direction to the activities to the team & production driver as related to vendor or Stockroom
  • Assure timely and accurate response to Customers(internal/external) inquires related to technical specifications on OP sheet, material, delivery, and quantity questions
  • Participate in the normal dispatch material and paperwork flow
  • Provide back-up to the Dispatch supporting roles
