About The Position
Idaho Forest Group is currently seeking Log Yard Operators with Heavy Equipment Experience to join our Moyie Springs team. This position will operate heavy equipment to sort logs by size and species, unload logs from trucks, deliver logs from log yard to the mill, and spread loads as needed. This is a full-time position on swing shift.
Requirements
- Must be able to work various shifts, days, and overtime as needed
- High School Diploma or GED (or willingness to quickly obtain one as a condition of employment)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Pre-employment screening processes which may include, but are not limited to: criminal background check, drug and substance test, reference check, prior work verification, driving history (MVR), education verification, aptitude/skills testing, and credit checks.

- Knowing species and log form desirable
Responsibilities
- Comprehend and perform all duties in accordance with rules, regulations and JSAs
- Sort logs, load and move logs
- Recognize species to store properly
- Operate 988 and other Rolling Stock in Log Yard
- Consistently keep a production level work pace
- Other duties as needed
