About The Position
D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Lodge Assistant. The right candidate will ensure a high standard of housekeeping and kitchen services on a daily basis to maintain the lodge while working as part of a close-knit team to provide a high standard of hospitable service.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Six months to one year of related experience and/or training in the hospitality industry
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Possess time management and organizational skills
- Proficiency with MS Office and email
- Ability to stand and walk for 4 hours straight or up to a full 8-hour day; sit for extended periods; walk on unlevel terrain; Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
- Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions
Nice To Haves
- Meal preparation experience for large groups a plus
- Bilingual a plus
Responsibilities
- Perform all lodge housekeeping duties which include general cleaning, laundry, servicing bedroom units and bathrooms, bed making, vacuuming, etc.
- Maintain an inventory of housekeeping supplies and equipment, place replacement orders for supplies with the Lodge Manager
- Responsible for assisting in preparation of all meals from a pre-determined menu for guests and staff, assisting in unloading and processing all food deliveries, cleaning and maintaining the kitchen and other kitchen duties
- Maintain a professional relationship with the guests and residents of the lodge by performing the duties identified for this position in a courteous, efficient manner
- Report any substandard/unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries, property damage, or losses to the Lodge Manager
- Maintain a record of maintenance items reported to be submitted for repair to the Lodge Manager and/or maintenance personnel
- Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
- Able to travel between DHI Ranch locations
