About The Position

This is a locum physician position for an OB/GYN, with primary call responsibilities in Midland. The role also involves credentialing for additional locations including West Branch, Alma, and Alpena. The physician will be expected to handle a variety of cases and procedures related to obstetrics and gynecology.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• A minimum of 50 deliveries and 25 gynecological (GYN) procedures conducted within the past 12 months.
• All medical schools attended must be listed on the California Approved List.
• All residencies and fellowships must be accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
• No significant malpractice issues.
• A clean record as per the National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB).
• Three professional references from individuals who have worked with the provider within the last 18 months.
• Documentation of case and patient logs evidencing 50 deliveries and 25 GYN procedures within the past 12 months.
• Board certification or eligibility must be obtained within a five-year timeframe.
• Possess either an active Michigan license or an IMLC.
• The provider's application for the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) will be considered, although a Michigan license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide OB/GYN call coverage in Midland.
• Perform procedures including Suction D&C, Labor and Delivery (L&D), Laparoscopy, Review of Non-Stress Tests (NSTs), Cesarean Sections (C/Sections), and Tubal Ligations.
• Utilize EPIC/Dragon for Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and dictation.
• Be available for credentialing at additional locations: West Branch, Alma, and Alpena.
• Adhere to specific case log requirements.
