About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Locum Physician specializing in General/Invasive Cardiology to join our team. This role involves a combination of clinic and on-call responsibilities, with a 1:3 call rotation approximately 10 days per month. The position includes evaluating new and established patients, performing clinical duties such as outpatient clinic responsibilities, inpatient rounding, imaging, and testing interpretations. Procedures will vary based on physician expertise and may include diagnostic catheterizations, Transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs), cardioversion procedures, and loop device implantation and explantation. While diagnostic catheter work is available, it is not mandatory. The physician will be supported by one Advanced Practice Provider (APP). This position does not involve supervisory responsibilities. Electronic medical records are managed through EPIC, with Dragon for dictation support.

Requirements

• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology
• Minimum of 50 cases within the last 12 months
• At least 25 TEEs within the last 12 months
• Hold an Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) license or be awaiting licensure
• Michigan state license or IMLC eligibility preferred

Nice To Haves

• Proctoring may be necessary depending on procedures performed and interpretations of readings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct new and established patient evaluations.
• Perform outpatient clinic responsibilities.
• Engage in inpatient rounding.
• Interpret imaging and testing results.
• Perform procedures such as diagnostic catheterizations, Transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs), cardioversion procedures, and loop device implantation and explantation, based on expertise.
• Provide call coverage for 2 weeks each month.
• Utilize EPIC for electronic medical records and Dragon for dictation.
