Locum Physician Emergency Medicine
About The Position
Seeking a Locum Physician specializing in Emergency Medicine for a regional hospital. This position involves providing coverage during overnight shifts, with a preference for physicians available for the majority of the scheduled dates. The Emergency Department has an annual volume of approximately 42,000 visits, with an average overnight patient volume of 2 patients per hour. The facility is a 220+ bed regional hospital and utilizes the Epic Electronic Medical Record system. Trauma Level is III, and the patient demographics include both adult and pediatric patients. Coverage model includes double and triple physician coverage until 2:00 AM, with strong NP/PA support available.
Requirements
- ABEM or AOBEM certification
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Indiana Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) required
- DEA registration required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Nice To Haves
- Active Indiana medical license preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency medicine coverage during overnight shifts.
