Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- Valid medical license to practice in the state
- Experience in a hospitalist role or related field
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to high standards of patient care
- Board-certified
- ACLS, PALS, BLS, ATLS, and NRP certifications
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients
- Conduct patient evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Collaborate with nursing staff and specialists for optimal patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records
- Participate in hospital rounds and team meetings
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families
- Stay current with medical guidelines and best practices
- Perform well baby exams and stabilize newborns post C-section and backup to the ED in emergencies
- Vents required in emergent situations only (very rare)
