About The Position

This on-site, contract position offers a compelling opportunity for an Associate-level physician to provide exceptional cardiovascular care in a collaborative clinical environment. As a Locum Cardiologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of cardiac conditions while working alongside a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. This role is ideal for a physician who values direct patient interaction, clinical excellence, and the flexibility that comes with a contract-based locum assignment. You will contribute directly to improving patient outcomes and advancing the standard of cardiac care within our practice.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Cardiology
  • Valid and active medical license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction
  • Associate-level clinical experience in cardiology or a related medical field
  • Strong proficiency in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions
  • Experience interpreting cardiac diagnostic tests and imaging studies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient and team interaction
  • Ability to thrive in an on-site, fast-paced medical practice environment
  • Commitment to delivering patient-centered, evidence-based care
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Must be board-certified
  • ACLS and BLS certifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive cardiovascular assessments and accurate diagnoses for patients
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
  • Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures, including ECGs, echocardiograms, and stress tests
  • Collaborate with primary care physicians, specialists, and nursing staff to coordinate patient care
  • Manage acute and chronic cardiac conditions, including arrhythmias, heart failure, and coronary artery disease
  • Document patient encounters thoroughly and in a timely manner
  • Educate patients and their families on cardiovascular health, prevention, and treatment options
  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to cardiac emergencies as needed
  • Ensure compliance with all medical regulations, protocols, and patient safety standards
  • Uphold the highest ethical standards and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
