About The Position

The Locksmith installs, repairs, replaces, and maintains mechanical and electronic locking systems to ensure facility security. Responsibilities include rekeying and maintaining master key systems, programming electronic access controls, responding to emergency repairs, modifying locks for special security needs, performing minor door and hardware repairs, completing preventative maintenance, maintaining service records, delivering excellent customer service, and adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience as a locksmith
• Valid driver's license required
• Proficiency in using locksmith tools and equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work productively and cohesively in a diverse and multicultural environment.
• Ability to be badged to work in secure areas of an airport
• Availability to work 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift including holidays and weekends

Nice To Haves

• additional technical training or certification in locksmithing is preferred.
• expertise in commercial and industrial locksmithing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and replace locks on doors, cabinets, desks, lockers etc. including hinges, padlocks, electric panel locks, safety locks, tubular, cylinder, mechanical and electrotechnical combination locks.
• Rekey pin tumbler locks, handfile new keys to spec, reprogram key codes.
• Maintain master key systems.
• Install and program electronic access control systems.
• Respond to emergency repair situations promptly and professionally.
• Modify and rework locking devices to accomplish special security objectives
• Perform minor repairs to auto sliding glass doors and hinge/door adjustments
• Perform preventative maintenance as necessary
• Maintain records of work performed, including parts
• Provide excellent customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and industry regulations.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and secure work environment
• Other duties as assigned
