About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring the proper setup of conveyances for sorting and distributing incoming bags. The supervisor will read and verify the city and flight number for every bag to ensure correct loading of customer bags. They will organize and prioritize baggage load for delivery to the proper aircraft for loading and ensure compliance with all TSA, DOT, FAA, OSHA safety rules, regulations, and applicable laws. The role also involves accepting responsibility for the safety of the scanner and associated equipment, scanning each bag as it arrives at the bag room, and forwarding/receiving bags to/from TSA for processing. Attention to priority items and efficient, effective, and professional customer interaction are key. Other related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Must be a local (in-state) resident.
High School diploma or GED.
Valid In-State Driver?s License.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Ability to pass up to a 10-year background check.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have the authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
Must complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security.
Must be able to lift/carry / push/pull and move items of 70 pounds and/or more regularly and repetitively lift weights of 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces.

Responsibilities
