About The Position

To repair, replace, and install locks and keys, door checks, etc.

Attend meetings and participates in departmental in-services.
Able to install and repair locks, latches, door closers, duplicates keys and
install bucks, hinges doors.
Clean area, equipment and tools and stores them properly.
Utilizes equipment safely.
Completes work assignments thoroughly and in a timely manner.
Notifies supervisor of locksmith supplies needed to keep jobs going without
interruption.
Maintain key log book for facility.
Completes annual in-service.
Instructs locksmith in simpler locksmith related duties.
Maintain inventory of locks and key blanks.
Repairs and installs locks, door checks, performs fire / smoke door
inspection.
Perform related P.M.
Maintain key control log book correctly.
May assist in other trades as required by the department.
Maintains current fire safety card.
Performs all other duties as required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years job-related experience
• License Locksmith

• Minimum of 5 years job-related experience or related trade school
