About The Position
Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, assist in assuring security of locker rooms; supervise students using facilities according to established procedures; assign lockers; issue and check in towels and physical education equipment; maintain related records.
Requirements
- Completion of tenth grade
- One year paid or voluntary experience working with high school age students
Responsibilities
- Issue, check and maintain inventory of towels and physical education equipment to students in physical education classes.
- Receive and account for physical education equipment such as baseball and bats, volleyballs, footballs, tennis rackets, balls and nets.
- Check drinking fountains and wash basins.
- Clean locker, dressing, shower and other rooms as assigned.
- Assign lockers and dressing rooms to students.
- Make minor repairs to lockers and physical education equipment.
- Report misuse of equipment, lockers or dressing rooms.
- Assist in assuring security of locker rooms.
- Supervise students using facilities.
- Monitor visitors to assure security requirements are met and notify proper personnel as necessary.
- Replenish vending machines, towel and paper dispensers as required.
- Wash uniforms for gym classes as assigned.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
