About The Position

Maintaining locking systems which provide security for facility. Efficient repair and maintenance of all locks within the facility. Provide necessary repair and preventive maintenance for locking system and devices at this facility.

Requirements

  • Experience in the repair, installation, and maintenance of locks and locking systems, preferably within a secure or institutional environment, is essential.
  • Considerable knowledge of lock mechanisms, locking systems, and related security hardware
  • Skill in using a variety of hand and power tools commonly used for lock maintenance.
  • Diagnosing issues, performing corrective repairs, and completing preventive maintenance
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications related to locking systems
  • Strong problem‑solving skills
  • The ability to work independently
  • Attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in repairing and maintaining locks and locking systems in secure or institutional settings.
  • Locksmithing courses, trade school training, or certifications related to mechanical or security hardware.
  • Experience in correctional facilities or other institutions using high‑security locking systems, along with related trades experience such as carpentry, metalwork, or mechanical maintenance.
