This is a part-time wage position at Greensville Correctional Center. The role involves providing quality nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team, assisting inmates with activities of daily living (ADLs) in a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment. Responsibilities include observing, reporting, documenting, and communicating interventions, treatments, behaviors, emergent needs, and situations. The position also assists with caring for the mental and physical needs of inmates. Assignments to other duties or locations may be necessary to meet the clinical and administrative needs of the Department. This wage position is limited to working no more than 1,500 hours per agency during the 12-month period of May 1 – April 30, regardless of the hire date. Wage employment resets on May 1 of the following year. All wage employees are limited to working no more than 29 hours per week on average over the 12-month period. This wage position offers no state benefits.
