About The Position

Live. Work. Explore. as a part of our Operations team in Yellowstone National Park! Are you enthusiastic about hospitality, people, and beautiful places? By working at Yellowstone National Park, you will get all three! As a Location Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operational functions that keep the park running smoothly. This position will be located at Mammoth Hot Springs. The Location Manager has the authority and responsibility to direct all phases of daily operation at the location level. While providing this direction, the Location Manager will fully support, monitor, and control all programs instituted by the individual departments and the National Park Service.

Requirements

  • Business Management or Hospitality Degree or 3-5 years equivalent experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong people skills
  • Motivational, organizational, and time management skills
  • Knowledge of Company policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to review and analyze financial documents
  • Possession of valid driver’s license preferred but not required
  • Must be able to lift items up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to walk and/or stand a minimum of 30 minutes at a time
  • Must be able to kneel or lay flat on the ground to inspect beneath beds, kitchen lines, and beneath furniture
  • Must be able to climb stairs
  • Must be able to walk on uneven terrain, including icy and snow-covered areas

Responsibilities

  • Maximize sales, control expenses, and meet or exceed budgeted profits while maintaining quality standards across all departments
  • Monitor product quality, customer service, and property appearance, ensuring compliance with company and National Park Service standards
  • Develop management abilities of staff and department managers to achieve financial and guest service objectives consistently
  • Address guest complaints promptly and empathetically, aiming for satisfactory resolutions
  • Manage staffing, schedules, and labor costs effectively based on business forecasts and budgeted guidelines
  • Enforce company policies, procedures, and core values while prioritizing safety and risk management throughout the location
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to maintain employee satisfaction and address concerns promptly
  • Oversee all aspects of location management, including employee housing, evaluations, and on-call responsibilities, while maintaining flexibility in work hours and duties
