About The Position

Safely operates forklift and tractor/trailer on Company grounds and in the local area. The primary duty is as a Local Truck Driver operating a tractor/trailer. The secondary duty is as a Material Handler, operating a forklift to load, unload, move product to various locations and stack material. The driver is responsible for checking that the tractor and trailer are in safe operating condition before use and informing their supervisor of any problems or maintenance needs. The role involves safely operating tractor and trailer units to transport finished goods, packaging materials, and pallets between the Company production facility, distribution center, and outside warehouses. This includes spotting delivery trailers at the Company warehouse and chocking wheels. The driver must complete required paperwork and keep the tractor and trailer in neat and clean condition, while adhering to all safety rules and company policies. Additionally, the role may involve participation in training, employee meetings, committees, and project teams as appropriate. The employee will receive instructions from their supervisor and perform other duties as directed.

Requirements

  • High school plus additional training preferred.
  • Math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions.
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English needed for job tasks.
  • Must have current Commercial Driver's License and be DOT approved.
  • Certified forklift operator.
