About The Position

Safely operates forklift and tractor/trailer on Company grounds and in the local area. This role involves both driving a tractor/trailer to transport goods and operating a forklift for loading, unloading, and moving product. The driver is responsible for ensuring the vehicle is in safe operating condition, completing necessary paperwork, and maintaining a clean vehicle. The position also requires adherence to safety rules and company policies, and participation in training and meetings as needed.

Requirements

High school plus additional training preferred.
Math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions.
Ability to speak, read and write in English needed for job tasks.
Must have current Commercial Driver's License and be DOT approved.
Certified forklift operator.

Responsibilities

Operates tractor/trailer.
Operates a forklift to load, unload, move product to various locations and stacks material.
Checks to assure tractor and trailer are in safe operating condition before operating.
Informs supervisor of problems and/or maintenance as needed.
Safely operates tractor and trailer units to transport finished goods, packaging materials, and pallets between the Company production facility, distribution center, and outside warehouses.
Spots delivery trailers at Company warehouse and chocks wheels.
Completes required paperwork.
Keeps tractor and trailer in neat and clean condition.
Follows safety rules and company policies.
Participates in training, employee meetings, committees, project teams, etc. as appropriate.
Receives written or verbal instructions from supervisor on above tasks and performs other work as directed by supervisor.
