About The Position

Johnsonville is hiring a local driver to transport products safely and reliably, provide exceptional customer service, and represent the company professionally. Drivers handle local pickups, deliveries, and redeliveries, including some intrastate driving within a maximum 250-mile radius of the Johnsonville campus. Drivers average 50 hours per week and must be available Monday through Friday between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., with overtime as demands require. The role uses 2021-or-newer tractors and late-model Great Dane refrigerated trailers.

Requirements

Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
Minimum age of 21.
Acceptable driving record that meets company and DOT requirements.
At least 100,000 miles of driving experience or completion of a certified truck driving school.
Ability to pass a pre-employment, post-offer drug screen, physical, and background check.
Basic math and map-reading skills.
Mechanical aptitude.

Nice To Haves

Two years of recent tractor-trailer experience.
Experience in the refrigerated food industry.
Computer skills.

Responsibilities

Handle local pickups, deliveries, and redeliveries, including some intrastate activity within a maximum 250-mile radius of the Johnsonville campus.
Maintain a safety-first mindset and comply with state and federal laws, regulations, and FMCSA requirements.
Provide exceptional customer service and portray a clean, professional image as a Johnsonville representative.
Drive 2021-or-newer tractors and late-model Great Dane refrigerated trailers.
Complete thorough vehicle safety inspections.
Complete E-DVIRs for mechanical conditions requiring repair.
Maintain prescheduled appointments, obtain necessary signatures on bills of lading, and communicate delays to dispatch.
Execute assigned work duties with attention to detail, organization, and an ownership mindset.
