About The Position

This role involves safely driving and delivering products to customer job sites. The driver will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all safety procedures, conducting vehicle inspections, securing cargo, and maintaining accurate logs. The position requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to manage time effectively to ensure timely deliveries.

Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
• 1-2 years of truck driving experience; 18-24 months preferred.
• Completion of a professional truck driving school.
• Strong judgment and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent time management and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and provide outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and deliver products to customer job sites, ensuring compliance with all safety procedures.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are in good working order.
• Secure cargo using ropes, chains, and covers, and load/unload products as necessary.
• Maintain logs of working hours and vehicle service, adhering to state and federal regulations.
• Collect and verify delivery instructions, routes, and obtain customer signatures for delivered goods.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, or traffic violations promptly.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks and ensure cleanliness of the truck's interior.
• Read and interpret maps to determine optimal routes for deliveries.
