About The Position

TForce Freight is seeking a reliable, safety- and customer-focused Local Driver to join its logistics team. The Local Driver safely operates a tractor and trailer to deliver freight accurately and on time, representing the company to customers with a positive, helpful, and professional attitude. The role includes transporting freight, securing cargo, inspecting the vehicle, maintaining driving and cargo records, and communicating with dispatch. The starting rate is $33.90 per hour. Applicants must provide a complete 10-year employment history on the application in accordance with FMCSA regulations.

Requirements

Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) in the resident state.
Hazmat, tanker, and doubles endorsements.
At least 21 years of age.
Meet all DOT and company requirements.
Able to safely perform essential job functions without obvious risk of injury to self or coworkers.
Able to read, write, and speak English.
U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Impeccable customer service and dedication.
Provide a complete 10-year employment history on the application in accordance with FMCSA regulations.

Responsibilities

Operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods safely and efficiently to various locations.
Ensure cargo is properly loaded and secured before departure.
Provide excellent customer service by making timely deliveries and handling customer inquiries or concerns.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs.
Follow local, state, and federal transportation regulations and safety protocols.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes traveled, and cargo conditions.
Communicate with the dispatch management team about schedules, delays, and issues during transportation.
