About The Position

TForce Freight is seeking a reliable, safety- and customer-focused Local Driver to join its logistics team. The Local Driver safely operates a tractor and trailer to deliver freight accurately and on time, representing TForce Freight to customers with a positive, helpful, and professional attitude. The role involves transporting goods, securing cargo, conducting vehicle inspections, maintaining driving and cargo records, following transportation regulations and safety protocols, and communicating with dispatch management. The position pays $30.00 per hour. Applicants should provide a complete 10-year employment history on the application in accordance with FMCSA regulations.

Requirements

Demonstrate impeccable customer service and dedication.
Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) in the resident state.
Have Hazmat, tanker, and doubles endorsements.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Meet all DOT and company requirements.
Be able to safely perform essential job functions without obvious risk of injury to self or co-workers.
Be able to read, write, and speak English.
Be a U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.
Have strong organizational and time-management skills.
Provide a complete 10-year employment history on the application in accordance with FMCSA regulations.

Responsibilities

Operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods safely and efficiently to various locations.
Ensure cargo is properly loaded and secured before departure.
Provide excellent customer service, make timely deliveries, and handle customer inquiries or concerns.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs.
Follow local, state, and federal transportation regulations and safety protocols.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes traveled, and cargo conditions.
Communicate with dispatch management about schedules, delays, and transportation issues.
