Local Driver CDL - Night Shift
About The Position
As a CDL Driver at GXO, you will help ensure the safe, on-time delivery of goods for customers by running local routes and returning home daily. Most days involve operating a 26-foot box truck, with occasional operation of a tractor pulling trailers up to 53 feet. The position is Monday through Friday, from 12:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. It is a touch-freight role involving pallet-jack loading and unloading. Pay starts at $29 per hour, with overtime available after 40 hours worked per week and a $2-per-hour shift premium. Requirements
- At least 6 months of CDL experience in the last 3 years operating the same type of equipment needed for the position, or larger.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Current, valid CDL A driver’s license.
- Safe driving record.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience moving multiple types of trailers, such as tanks, vans, and flatbeds.
Responsibilities
- Drive 26-foot box trucks and tractor trailers in and around the site or on public roads.
- Load and unload pallets using pallet jacks.
- Drive safely and adhere to all safety policies and practices.
- Perform routine inspections.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch.
