Local Driver CDL - Night Shift

About The Position

GXO is hiring a CDL Class A Driver for local routes, with daily home time. The driver will operate company equipment to support safe, on-time delivery of customer goods, driving tractors with 53-foot trailers and box trucks around the site or on public roads. This is a touch-freight position. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 10:00 p.m. to 8:30 a.m. Starting pay is $30.00 per hour, with a $2.00 per hour shift differential. Overtime pay is available after 40 worked hours per week. GXO offers health insurance (medical, dental, and vision), a 401(k), life insurance, disability insurance, and other benefits. Applicants must have at least six months of recent CDL experience operating the same type of equipment required for the position, or larger, within the last three years; be at least 21 years old; and hold a current, valid Class A CDL with an acceptable motor vehicle record. A high school diploma or equivalent and experience moving multiple types of trailers are preferred. Applicants who receive a conditional offer may be required to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Requirements

At least six months of CDL experience within the last three years operating the same type of equipment required for the position, or larger.
At least 21 years old.
Current, valid Class A CDL driver’s license.
Acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR).

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience moving multiple types of trailers, including tanks, vans, and flatbeds.

Responsibilities

Drive tractors pulling 53-foot trailers and box trucks around the site or on public roads.
Handle touch freight.
Drive safely and follow all safety policies and practices.
Perform routine inspections.
Communicate effectively with dispatch.
