About The Position

The Local Delivery Driver supports local customer deliveries and performs some warehouse activities. The role includes preparing and delivering customer orders, returning home each night, and assisting with warehouse tasks as needed. Responsibilities may vary between driving and warehouse work, and additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma.
0–2 years of warehouse experience, depending on role.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Good customer service skills.
Energetic, attentive to detail, and proficient with technology, including Microsoft products, delivery scanners, and tablets.
Pass a D.O.T. physical.
If holding a CDL, pass a drug screen.
Ability to squat, bend, and frequently lift more than 25–50 pounds.
Ability to move large equipment with a dolly, requiring frequent pushing and pulling of up to 150 pounds.
Ability to stand for long periods, frequently use stairs, and walk on uneven surfaces.
Manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

Run local delivery routes for customer orders, including pulling, loading, and unloading equipment and parts; planning routes; contacting customers; confirming order details; and providing proof of delivery.
Maintain the delivery vehicle, keep it clean, secure loads safely, and promptly report vehicle or product damage to a supervisor.
Follow road rules and promptly report safety or driving infractions.
Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections according to company policy.
Coordinate with the Delivery Services Coordinator and/or Fleet Manager to ensure routine vehicle maintenance is completed and required documentation is provided to the Fleet Manager.
Receive shipments, confirm quantities, and inspect shipments for damage.
Complete or assist with receiving and transfer paperwork as required.
Put away product and follow standard warehouse procedures, including First-In-First-Out inventory practices.
Conduct occasional cycle counts and assist other departments with inventory questions.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
