Linen Local Delivery Driver, 12pm-9pm, $20/hr
About The Position
This position reports to a job site and involves completing deliveries in a 26' box truck, sorting linen, and performing preventative maintenance on laundry equipment. The role requires accuracy, timeliness, and a safe, courteous approach to customer deliveries, adhering to all company and DOT requirements, including daily documentation and Crothall Laundry Services policies. Maintaining a neat appearance in uniform and adhering to attendance policies are also key. The driver will keep company equipment clean and organized, promptly report mechanical issues, follow universal precautions on the soil side, and maintain proper DOT documentation and certifications, along with all safety procedures.
Requirements
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and possibly holidays
- Have and maintain a clean driving record with a valid driver’s license
- Pass DOT physical, drug screening, and MVR background check
- Be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Be able to push/pull a wheeled cart of 700lbs.
Responsibilities
- Assist with completing deliveries in a 26' box truck
- Sorting linen
- Completing preventative maintenance tasks on laundry equipment
- Assure customer deliveries are made with accuracy, timeliness, and within set time parameters
- Perform job duties in a safe and courteous manner while maintaining an unblemished driving record
- Adhere to all company and DOT requirements, including but not limited to daily documentation
- Adhere to all Crothall Laundry Services policies as stated in the employee handbook
- Be in uniform and maintain a neat appearance every workday
- Adhere to Crothall Laundry Services attendance policy
- Keep company equipment lean and organized
- Report any mechanical issue to chief engineer promptly
- Follow all universal precautions and procedures while on soil side
- Maintain all proper DOT documentation and certification
- Follow all safety procedures
- Load and unload linen carts at both the company’s and customer’s place of business tagging each one accordingly
- Completely fill out all required paperwork/logs and turn in daily
- Weigh all soil in under the correct customer and deliver all soil to the soil room
- Disinfect vehicles after each soil pick up
- Maintain the company vehicle in a clean and orderly manner
- Maintain a neat and professional appearance
- Turn in a Pre-Trip Vehicle Inspection Report daily
- Perform customer deliveries in an accurate and timely manner
- Perform other duties as assigned
