About The Position

Diaz Foods is looking for a dependable and hardworking Local Box Truck Driver to join our team in the Atlanta, GA area. In this position, you will drive a box truck and deliver food products to restaurants and grocery stores. This is a hands-on role that involves driving, unloading products, and providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

Valid Driver's License with a safe driving record
Ability to follow DOT regulations and company safety procedures
Ability to perform basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently
Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and team members

Nice To Haves

Previous driving or delivery experience is a plus, but not required
Previous delivery or driving experience is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Drive a box truck to deliver food products to local restaurants and grocery stores
Follow all DOT regulations and maintain a safe driving record
Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and required driver paperwork
Load and unload products using a hand truck and ramp when available
Lift and move products weighing up to 50 pounds
Deliver products to the customer's designated area
Restack products when requested by the customer, including inside coolers or freezers
Compare delivered products with customer invoices
Obtain customer signatures and collect payments when necessary
Report vehicle, operational, customer, product, or payment issues to the appropriate department
Maintain a professional and positive attitude with customers and team members
